About this collection

At the heart of every sport lies a grammar of gestures, tensions, pauses, and bursts. It is not merely competition or performance, it is rhythm, structure, play. With The Art of Play, Tormius delves into this deeper dimension, distilling its essence through a purely abstract visual language. Eleven artworks, eleven sports, no recognizable figures, yet each piece pulses with kinetic energy, as if movement itself had been captured and transcribed into form.

Through sharp geometry, saturated color, and surgical compositional choices, the artist does not illustrate but evokes. Ice hockey needs no ice, tennis no racket. What remains is momentum, impact, and the mental trajectory each sport carries within. It is an art of subtraction, stripping away surface to reveal the emotional architecture beneath.

Rooted in the legacy of early 20th-century geometric avant-gardes yet projected into a radically contemporary aesthetic, Tormius orchestrates his works like visual scores, each element carefully calibrated, each relationship between forms constructed with near-musical precision. The collection also speaks of freedom, both creative and perceptual, and of a vision of art as an exercise in tension and lightness, where nothing is accidental and everything refers to a deeper logic.

The Art of Play is more than a thematic series; it is a meditation on the abstract potential of sport, on the possibility of narrating without showing, of moving without storytelling. Tormius invites us into a game without winners, only pathways to explore. And in this game, as in art, meaning is not found in the goal, but in the gesture that builds toward it.

I’m a digital artist from Valencia, Spain, working at the intersection of geometric abstraction and the absurd. My practice revolves around bold shapes, vivid colors, and a commitment to visual clarity, creating compositions that explore tension, play, and meaning through structure. Creating is at the core of who I am. It’s how I connect with the world and with myself. I work across various digital formats, blending precision with spontaneity. While my work is influenced by early avant-garde movements, it has grown into a visual language of its own, shaped by curiosity, minimalism, and a constant desire to question the expected. I’ve developed my career within the web3 art space, where I actively publish and collect digital art. My life is shaped by long-term thinking. Every day is an investment in the future I want to build. What fuels both my art and my way of living is a mix of curiosity, fun, minimalism, and respect for individuality. I believe in freedom, in how we live and how we create, and I’ve learned to follow a path that feels true to who I am. Through my work, I’m constantly discovering new ways to express the ideas that fascinate me. It’s a journey I’m fully committed to, and I’m always excited to see where it leads.
